The Miguel Hernández University of Elche (UMH) has reaffirmed its commitment to academic and research excellence in the 2016 edition of the prestigious SCImago Institutions Rankings (SIR). Within the strictly university sector, the UMH ranks among the top 18% of universities worldwide (18th percentile) and is in the top 31% within the European Union (EU-27).

Leadership in Research Quality and Impact:
The UMH’s most outstanding indicator in this edition lies in its capacity for high-impact scientific output.
